Knock, Knock...

Abstract

Toc, Toc... is the opening, to the public, of the acting research and staging process 2020-2021, of the tenth semester of the Bachelor's Degree in Performing Arts. It invites to share a long moment in the life of two siblings: Margarita, twelve years old, and Martín, six years old, who, one day, are punished and forced to remain locked in a room until their mother returns from work. There they find different objects, which have gone out of everyday use, and which become powerful in the games and, in turn, expand the family history. The coexistence with the mother, after the separation of their parents, has become violent. The characters remain in the same space, moving from hostility to cooperation, seeking understanding and affective bonds of self-care and care towards others, which allow for peaceful and edifying family relationships.
